The Standard Job benchmark (SJ-1)
One roof, every design tool, published spread and an open CSV. The falsifiable vendor claims it will test are already collected — including “accuracy within 1% of PVsyst” and “within 1–3 inches of hand measurements”.
Blocker: Requires paid licences for the tools under test. Currently unbudgeted.
Installer software adoption survey
EnergySage and NABCEP ran the only installer adoption survey (2019–2021) and stopped. They never named vendors. Replicating it and naming them produces market-share data that does not exist anywhere.
