What changed: September 2026 verification pass
We re-read every vendor’s pricing surface in one day. Ten products moved, four of our own earlier findings did not survive, and five production sites are shipping visible defects.
On 28 September 2026 we re-verified all 100 products in the dataset — 231 URLs — and recorded only what each page itself stated. This is what moved.
Solytic withdrew its pricing page. The /prices/ URL now redirects to the homepage. The company was acquired by S.E.E. in October 2024, and pricing transparency went with it. A vendor that once published and stopped is a recordable change, not a neutral fact.
Wattwatcher has a dated sunset. Solar Analytics states that new Wattwatcher-integrated sites are not commissioned from 1 July 2026; existing customers may renew only. Any directory still listing it as current after that date is wrong.
Google’s Solar API degrades in the EEA. From 8 July 2025, certain Solar API content is no longer returned for EEA billing addresses. Any European design tool built on it inherits that limit silently.
Coperniq still contradicts itself. The Field tier shows 140 per user per month on its plan cards and $90 in the comparison table below them, on the same page. Unchanged since our previous pass.
Arka360 carries four mutually inconsistent price blocks. Basic renders simultaneously as $199, $159 and ₹11,500; Premium as $358, $199 and ₹16,500. A pricing table for an unrelated product also renders on the page, and the footer reads 2025.
Five production sites are shipping visible defects: Power Factors’ headline counters render as 0 GW and 0 GWh; PowerClerk’s render as bare +, % and x; SolarAPP+ prints the literal string “year” in its footer; 3E ships unedited Lorem ipsum in an advisory section; and Palmetto’s LightReach page still shows “Heading text” and “Button text here!”.
We also corrected ourselves seven times. The largest: our earlier finding of a “4.8x price spread for the same scope” between two plan-set services does not hold — one of them publishes no price, no state count and no PE-stamp reference at all. The supportable finding is a transparency contrast, and it is now recorded that way. The full list is in the corrections log.
